Home/About

We started at the farmgate and never left it.

Connexxion Agro-Allied is an agro-allied sourcing, processing and export company headquartered in Maitama, Abuja, with buying operations across northern Nigeria and the middle belt and port operations on the coast.

The company

Most exporters buy from the market. We buy from the farm.

The difference sounds small and decides everything. Commodity bought on the open market arrives with no history: you cannot tell where it grew, how it was dried, or how many hands blended it before it reached you. That is where moisture problems, foreign matter and aflatoxin come from.

We built the business the slower way — field agents living in the producing states, a register of growers, advances against harvest, and our own cleaning and grading lines. It costs more to run. It is the only way we know to promise a spec and keep it.

Head office

Maitama, Abuja — trade desk, documentation and export finance.

Processing

Cleaning, sorting and grading lines sited close to the growing belts.

Origination

Field teams and cooperative partners across the north and middle belt.

How we are organised

Four desks, one lot number.

A lot keeps the same reference from the day it is bought to the day the bill of lading is issued. Each desk writes to the same record, so nobody has to reconstruct a shipment’s history from memory.

Origination

Field agents, cooperative relationships, farmgate pricing and the grower register. They decide what we buy and from whom.

Processing

Intake, drying, destoning, sorting and grading. They turn a farmgate purchase into a lot that matches a contract.

Quality assurance

Sampling, testing and the certificate of analysis. They hold the authority to stop a lot leaving the yard.

Trade & documents

Contracts, freight booking, the export documentary set and the banking instrument. They own the promise date.

Markets

Buyers in Europe, South and East Asia, the Gulf and North Africa — crushers, shellers, grinders and beverage houses.

Sustainability

Training clinics, input advances and the farmgate price board — run as part of buying, not as a side programme.

“A container is a promise you cannot amend once it sails.”

Work with us

Bring us a specification, not just a commodity name.

The more precisely a contract is written, the less there is to argue about at discharge. We would rather spend the time up front.
